Why Be Kind?

The Power of Alignment
The Problem: Busy leaders may not have time to ensure that their personal values are aligned with their work. I have found that failure to accomplish goals is rarely just about business; it is about a lack of alignment. When you don't know what you are truly willing to fight for, you carry out daily tasks half-heartedly.
Who I Am: David Buechner: Over 35 years, I have been responsible for worldwide revenue, managing teams of up to 120 people across the Americas, Asia, and EMEA.
The Hard Numbers: I have closed over $600M in total revenue, including individual deals up to $60M. I have secured pre-product startup funnels exceeding $350M and positioned two companies for successful exits.
The Tech: I have led in complex fields like Edge AI, Video AI, and mobile streaming.
The Difference: Uniquely, my executive career ran parallel to deep training in the human condition. I hold an MA in Counseling Psychology, a Master of Divinity, and training as a Coach.
Why Be Kind?
Kindness is one of the most undervalued drivers of long-term profitability. Employee retention, profitable pricing, and customer satisfaction all benefit from kindness.
Google’s "Project Aristotle" found that the single most important trait of successful teams is an environment of psychological safety (1).
Kindness, respect, and a safe environment require a centered leader. Being aligned prepares you to be kind and helps engender that safe environment. That is what we focus on in our work together: you align with your values so you can create the trust that rockets your organization forward.
My Role & Your Goals As a coach, I help you get to your goals. I bet it is possible for someone to review their values and find they don't align with creating a safe environment. I would be surprised. But if that is the case, we may not be a great fit.
To be clear: Kindness is not niceness. Kindness is respectful, assertive, clear interaction in line with your values and your organization's goals.
How We Work Together
I provide a quiet place for you to align with yourself and ensure you are heading in the direction you want to go. We will identify your core values—not as a soft exercise, but as a strategic necessity.
When you are aligned, the noise stops. You gain the freedom to be present, to be kind, and to accomplish your goals.

How Kindness Affects Business Outcomes?

Research from major business institutions—including Harvard Business Review, Gallup, and Deloitte—quantifies "kindness" (often measured as empathy, engagement, or positive culture) not just as a soft skill, but as a hard financial lever.

21% Higher Profitability: Teams with highly engaged leaders (defined by caring, clear communication, and support) achieve 21% higher profitability than their counterparts [Gallup, "Employee Engagement Drives Growth" (Meta-analysis of 1.8 million employees)].
682% Revenue Growth: In an 11-year study of corporate cultures, those that prioritized "adaptive" and "people-first" cultures saw revenue growth of 682%, compared to just 166% for companies that did not prioritize these cultural values [Forbes (John Kotter), "Does Corporate Culture Drive Financial Performance?"(Summary of the Corporate Culture and Performancestudy)].
